Family Fun Day

It was a wonderful Saturday for the Villacampa family.  Not only was the weather beautiful and the temperature perfect, but we got the spend the whole day together as a little family.  After an early morning feeding, I laid Caroline back down to sleep and got back in bed myself. I actually got to sleep in until just before 9. I can’t tell you the last time I’ve done that and I’m pretty sure I could’ve slept a few more hours, but Taylor was begging me to get up.  Nick got a few things done out in the back yard including taking some pretty pictures of the new blossoms on the pear tree, while Caroline and I slept and Taylor watched a little t.v.  After Caroline and I got up we all went outside and enjoyed the beautiful day. Taylor played on her swingset and with the sand table, while Nick took some pictures of Caroline.  We decided to continue taking advantage of the perfect weather and went to a park for a little bit before getting lunch at a little local cafe/ice cream parlor.  I had received an e-mail from this cafe saying that it was BYOB Saturday and if you bring your own banana you’d get a discount on a banana split, and so we did just that. It made for some full bellies and fun memories.  Both the girls took naps, then we got back out for a quick trip to Target.  I am absolutely in love with some of the pictures Nick took this morning. Here are a few for you to enjoy.

Big day

Today was an eventful day around the Villacampa house:

1.  Caroline rolled over from her back to belly (and is very proud of herself)

2.  Taylor decided that she’s going to quit sucking her tumb (thanks to a book we bought for her)

3.  Caroline tried cereal for the first time (and didn’t love it)

4.  Taylor went to bed without her beloved sleepy sack for the first time in about 3 years (but didn’t last very long without it)

4 months old

It’s very hard to believe that Caroline is 4 months old already.  We’re 1/3 of the way to her first birthday.  Crazy.  Robyn will give more details later, but she’s 24″ long (50th %), 12 lb 9 oz (30th%) and head circumference is 39.5 (20th).

For now here are two pictures we love.
